Mr. Heineken packs an amazing and strong performance by Anthony Hopkins unfortunately not even an actor with his talent can't save a messy script 

Because the film is boring and the characters that we should care about are all badly written and every single one of them was either miscast or were just bad from the start and besides Hopkins performance.
